He needs to spend 24 hours on an all weather RNLI boat and then come back and apologise for being a gob on a stick...
Received the attached today, in response to a number of requests sent this last week, for an answer as to why we are not/have not been, turning-round the inflatables and sending them back whence-they-came . . .
The whole letter is a standard "copy & paste" job, designed to cover all questions the Department might receive, but of particular interest is . . .
"Our New Plan for Immigration and the legislation to implement it will bring root and branch reform to the asylum system.
It is (already, now . . .), a criminal offence to enter or be in the UK illegally, carrying a maximum penalty of six months in prison. We want to increase this penalty, and for the offence to cover the act of seeking illegal entry to the UK.
We will take tougher action against anyone who facilitates illegal entry, such as by piloting a small boat. We plan to increase the maximum sentence for people smuggling to life imprisonment.
Border Force will be granted additional powers to stop illegal entry, including the ability to stop and redirect vessels at sea".

Who of the senior leadership of RNLI do accuse of being woke? And how do you know they don't go on shouts in the larger vessels? No one is saying the FRONT LINE RNLI are not doing a brilliant job saving lives of people in real distress, especially those who are mostly UNPAID volunteers & put their lives at risk every time they go out.
What I have a problem with is the increasingly "woke" management most of whom NEVER GO OUT ON A SHOUT but dictate all the stupid "woke" rules and appear to be trying to show how woke they are by using boats to "rescue" these chancers, rather than ensuring the boats are available for real emergencies!
If you can't see that then you are part of the problem!
RNLI senior leaders going on shoots? I hope you don't mean the chaps in the rubber boats? Thats not very woke. Even RCT(V) would approve.Who of the senior leadership of RNLI do accuse of being woke? And how do you know they don't go on shoots in the larger vessels?
Family killed by the Taliban?
So in practice they come down to residency cards, almost a way towards second class EUropean citizenship via the back door. At last, something the EU can control….notGermany gives them 'tolerated status' despite Merkel making a big deal about deporting those who have no right to asylum.
Darren is referring to flat calm waters, in the Channel. It is bad enough BF providing a taxi service, without RNLI - UNNECESSARILY - acting OUTSIDE of their terms of reference . . . and you clouding the issue !!I mentioned earlier the 11 hour job in Cornwall last night. I know the bigger lifeboats have basic facilities for hot drinks and food, but if it's Storm Force that won't be easy. I don't think poor Darren would cope.
It's why a lot of these small boats carry a small child and a woman on board so if the French coast guard or navy boats try and intercept them they can threaten to throw those overboard .
Hence why they are escorted by the French a lot of the time to the British rescuers
Apoligies if this has been posted before. A very interesting video from Nigel Farage.
Nope, send them to the offshore processing area that has been proposed.Aunti Preeti is a rare genious!
she’s going to arrest the tens of thousands entering Britain and stick them in our non existant jails.
Some of the snowflakes on this thread need to watch that and read the comments on FB showing the huge support he has got & how the RNLI "woke" management is turning people against them, even their volunteers are fed up with it!!
So that is at best factually incorrect then isn’t it? IF the site can’t be traced to the HO it hasn’t been set up by the HO. Plenty of scammers out there

As I posted at #26,339 . . .The RNLI raised around £200,000 in 24 hours this week, more than 28 times the usual daily total of around £7,000. It comes after chief executive Mark Dowie praised the charity for rescuing people from small boats in the English Channel.news.sky.com
