The jobs that left the US weren't exactly stolen by the Chinese, they were due to US manufactures increasing profitability by transferring production to a cheaper work force. Are you suggesting that In a free market economy a Government should have the power to tell a private business where it is allowed to operate, that sounds like Socialism. Of course you could always start one of those easy to win trade wars that result in increased prices to US consumers and having to pay 30 plus billion in subsidies to US Soy farmers, oops sounds a bit Socialist again.
Remind me again where Trump had his Trump Ties, Trump shirts and some of his MAGA Merch produced. Would that be the same country that Ivanka had her bags and shoes made and that her dad had an until recently secret bank account where he paid more tax than he did in the US. Unless the US does not have the capability to manufacture any of the products that the Trump family sourced from China maybe you should think about leaders who set an example.
Socialism; is internationalist in spirit and discourages nationalism.. The Free Market has used that spirit to sell out the nation and it was recognised at the time, but nobody believed it and to some extent didn't care given the profits, but it still immoral.
Obama had already shifted the military eastwards, Trump just started to address the economic nationalism argument and clearly has public backing, why Biden was waffling on about it in the election campaign.
Summary:-
The US and lesser extent UK, suffered enormous economic defeats and hollowed out our economies to the bone over thirty years and service jobs only exist today, so long as China and the ROW doesn't replace them.. Defending those defeats shows how out of touch you really are.
