The Trump Presidency...

not because I didn't want Magic Grandpa walking in to number 10.

I'm having a hard time believing that because we both know the mess Labour would have made of the UK with their socialist policies.

See Post 47551.

I don't think PMBJ was a bad choice, IMHO.

Neither do I but I think both you and I know a Labour win would have been a disaster for the country with their policies. The people of the UK new it as well hence the majority the Tories got in the House.

I have voted Labour in the past, and I have voted Conservative.

I voted Tory because I thought PMBJ would make a good job of PM. If Labour had fielded a better candidate I may have voted Labour.

The only people who voted for BJ were his constituents and 25k of them preferred him over the other 11 candidates. Unusually he also had more votes than all the other 11 candidates (22K). His party decided he would be the best person to lead the party and as that party won the most seats he became PM.

I would have a dig at you about not knowing the difference as it seems most the the UK can't get there heads round it either. In a way it is similar to the US in that the party pick the person they feel will give them the best chance of winning. then it's down to a two horse race (I know there are also ran but the US system is set up for a 2 horse race).

I have voted Democrat in the past and I have voted for Republicans for exactly the same reasons. But what I said about Labour's Polices in the last election being a disaster for the UK still stands so I have a hard time here believing that didn't influence your vote as well.

They probably did, but I stand by the fact that my vote wasn't "a lesser of two evils" - I genuinely believed in PMBJ.

People on here have stated they are voting for Trump just to stop Biden getting in.

Another Trumpette annoyed at the message, so attacking the Messenger.

Not at all, She might be winging, but what I say is 100% correct.

As much as I enjoy the polls banter, the Fox interview with Hunter and Jim Biden's ex business partner is now on YouTube. It does not paint Joe Biden in a very good light. Either way Joe Biden is going to have to be investigated to either prove his innocence or his guilt.
Deflecting it with "Russia Smear Campaign" is not going to cut the mustard much longer.

Worth a watch. .

The full version, almost an hour

So,
We have a material witness with the highest DOE security clearance, US navy.
A laptop that was stated as not being Russian interference held by the FBI and not acted upon, the contents of which provide a trove of evidence, and with the witness, proves Biden is compromised and has in fact been dealing in the backroom with China...all regarding energy.
The laptop also has evidence of payments from a Russian oligarch in Putin's orbit.
Photographic evidence and hard drug use at the time of these deals by Hunter.
Biden on the record saying he never knew anything of his son's dealings and has never taken money from China.
Adam Schiff screaming Russia...again.
The media and big tech trying to cover this up.
A convenient emergence of BLM rioting to make headlines today

I think it's obvious what has been going on since 2016

Democrat guilt, coverup and projection.

And don't forget Ukraine.
They are leaking too, remember this Quid Pro Joe...
The recording was released that Biden made to Poroshenko asking him not to ask Trump for more money because...

That's the Billion dollar quid pro quo, Sack the investigation so my son can be on the board and I can get my cut.

Now we know why Trump sent Guliani to Ukraine.
Biden is corrupt as ****.
And now we know why we had 4 years of media-induced TDS based on lies.

You lot were duped BIG TIME!

I Disagree.

I voted for PMBJ because I wanted to, because I thought he was a good choice for the country - not because I didn't want Magic Grandpa walking in to number 10.
I voted for the Tory party, because the thought of labour getting in terrifies me,
The present lot of MPs are rubbish, but some are more rubbish than others,
I voted for what I thought was, the least rubbish

Wikipedia:-
Show a 2 way race as Biden ahead by 8 points and a four-way race as Biden ahead 7 points... If not for the garbage polls (Leger, Yougov, CNBC, USC), that average would be lower, as the garbage pulls down the mean.

Polling changes:-
Realclearpolitics and 538 are no longer aligned, that is important. The swing back to Trump is significant enough to tip both Texas/Florida to Trump and your wrong about pointless, as remember some idiots were defending Bidens double digit lead not so long ago......

Facts:-
Biden 12 points lead was a polling mirage.
Bidens 8 point lead(real number all along) has probably already lost 6 of those points and the swings you see in Texas/Florida.

Guess:-
At state level Trump is probably a point ahead in PA and I still expect another swing going into election day of probably 2-3% points and deliver a shock win on both college votes and ahead on popular vote (discounting bidens numbers in solid blue states will come back to haunt the pollsters).

Polling:-
Its a bit like military intelligence and it can detect a movement after the fact, but few can predict the move in advance.
You keep going back to polls that were taken some time ago and then saying they are wrong because the poll today is different. Well that's why they have continuing polls as things change. It's like my MOT, when the form was signed it passed, once I drive it out the test centre the lights could go and it would fail but I still have a pass for a year.

Polls are continually updated and new people are surveyed which could provide a different out come. If over time after asking lots of different people you are still getting the same result you have more confidence in the poll.

As to the national polls I would think that the people running them have a basic idea about what they are doing. They to a greater extent would ignore the heavy red and blue states as these are not going to change much and influence the result and so do less polling in them. The key polling will be in areas that were very close and could change the outcome.

Biden losing PA would be a problem but not a great big problem. Trump losing PA would be a disaster and he would be throwing teddies at all his staff for their disloyalty (they will be glad he doesn't have a Pretorian guard). The same for Florida. Trump needs to win Biden just needs not to lose.

Yes because Trump unfortunately is the lesser of the two evils. Think Labour and you will have a pretty good picture of US Democrat polices here.

Already done by the Rep and the result of the 87 page document was - nothing to see, move along. Much to Trump anger and threats of lock him up. All this info was available at the time.

We then add in the conspiracy nuts who say it was hidden (that would imply that the Rep investigates was either inept or went along with suppressing the facts) by Biden and the media.

But this is all part of the mud throwing that we have been waiting for. Allegations that can't be proved or disprove in the time available.

I think Biden needs a proper investigation and that will take some time. His conduct and his son's is beyond suspect.

Todays national polling:-
Yougov in two polls has Biden 11 points ahead in both.
Surveymonkey in two polls has Biden 4 and 7 points ahead.
IBD/TIPP has Biden 5 points ahead.
Rasmussen has Trump ahead by a point.

That ain't right.... Even in 2016; the spread at this point in time, was Clinton to win from 1 to 7 points and just today, we have a spread of -1 to 11 points.. In swing states like PA, you have a spread of +3 Trump to Biden ahead 8 points.
