The Trump Presidency...

This is Trump on his favourite channel with one of his flag bearers interviewing him and yet they could not set the stage where he could clearly deny being involved with Russians.

A classic no-denial denial

FFS Trumpettes! You have put in place a traitor. A traitor not only to the US but all the alliances.

Makes a lot of people wrong, not one person right.

How many lies from the current White House? How many clearly inappropriate advisors appointed? How many resignations? How many convictions?

Meanwhile,

President Trump has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal details of his conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, including on at least one occasion taking possession of the notes of his own interpreter and instructing the linguist not to discuss what had transpired with other administration officials, current and former U.S. officials said.

Trump did so after a meeting with Putin in 2017 in Hamburg that was also attended by then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. U.S. officials learned of Trump’s actions when a White House adviser and a senior State Department official sought information from the interpreter beyond a readout shared by Tillerson.

The constraints that Trump imposed are part of a broader pattern by the president of shielding his communications with Putin from public scrutiny and preventing even high-ranking officials in his own administration from fully knowing what he has told one of the United States’ main adversaries.

As a result, U.S. officials said there is no detailed record, even in classified files, of Trump’s face-to-face interactions with the Russian leader at five locations over the past two years. Such a gap would be unusual in any presidency, let alone one that Russia sought to install through what U.S. intelligence agencies have described as an unprecedented campaign of election interference.
(Link to WaPo stalls the upload, but just duckduckgo the above for reference).

Meh. Seems legit to me.

But please, maintain there are no reasonable grounds to suspect President Trump is unduly influenced by Russia.

It's not a classic anything.

And you believe a hit piece by a biased NYT and a former FBI director convicted for lying? For over a year they've been investigating the Russian collusion and nothing has come up. It's a crock of lies.

This has come about because a transcript of Lisa Page's closed door testimony was leaked. It's obvious the FBI was trying to distract from the seriousness of Crooked's email fiasco. You're repeating nonsense without any attempt at analysis. I doubt you've looked in depth at the implications of Page's testimony.

EXCLUSIVE: Transcripts of Lisa Page’s Closed-Door Testimonies Provide New Revelations in Spygate Scandal

It seems the FBI has become very corrupt and Trump is in the process of cleaning house. This is desperation on their part.

I'm afraid the real traitors were Obama and Crooked. They're throwing everything at Trump in order to undermine him because they can't control him.

Did you really not understand why I posted Admiral Lyon's speech?

Serious allegation.

Could you post a link with details of the conviction please?

My apologies he's not convinced, yet. It will come. I was thinking of Cohen.
I don't mean to be rude, but is English your first language? Genuine question to help me understand the error.

I am sorry, how can you confuse the Director of the FBI and Trump's former "fixer"?

There's also a considerable diffence between "convince" and "convicted"

On another issue, it sounds rather like the New York mob to attempt to discredit a witness by saying he is a criminal.

It has been tried before, and Mueller's experienced at dealing with such issues.

How Scared Should Trump Be of Mueller? Ask John Gotti or Sammy “The Bull”

On an aside, J Bruce Mouw (the FBI office in charge of the Gambino crime family investigation) was a apparently a career counter-intelligence officer before chewing up and spitting out the mob.

You look at Mueller's team, career counter-money laundering experts, Russian mob specialists, first choice federal prosecution officers, apparently Russian and Arabic linguists.

Shed loads more talent than the pack of sycophants in the White House who, I suggest to you, have been used by Russian intelligence (who saw them all a mile off) and then left to stew in their own stupidity.

But - all supects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

We'll see.

@desert_rat

Not a problem about the words, is that dyslexia or writing in a language other than your first? Neither is a problem for me.

Mueller has a conviction rate that Gowdy would give his nuts for.

I seem to recall Gowdy led an enquiry lasting a while with no convictions?

As to opinion and bias, The Federalist.....

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy
The Federalist - Media Bias/Fact Check

As to my assessment of the capacity of the White House, I base that on the indictments and convictions thus far; and that the only unconvicted persons thus far are Russian intelligence officers sitting down safely beyond extradition treaties.

I think career hostile intelligence service officers saw the pack of chancers now in the White House a mile off and used them, then discarded them. The CIA allegedly traditionally used MICE (Money, Ideology, Compromise and Ego) as reasons to target sources for cultivation and/or recruitment*

I would suggest to you the Russians saw a boat load of that in the current White House and went large. I don't blame them, we should be doing that to them.

They did that in order to support their foreign policy goals.

Which is why I find things interesting, like Trump taking possession of his translators notes during discussions with Putin. They are (or should be) state documents, not personal property.

Disagree with me by all means, but have a good structured argument.

Do you even read your links?

You're a classic looney.

@Boumer

All these arguments about Trump is symptomatic that we're not able to tell the difference between truth and fiction because of the media. It's designed to manipulate our emotions. There are so many claims and counter claims and the majority of people don't have the time or inclination to dig deeper. We go to a default setting and choose our views according to our personalities. Our personalities, once set, become the filter for how we navigate the world. Of course there is nothing new in that theory.

What I can say about myself I was not interested in Trump or American politics but is was the continuous, unprecedented, vicious onslaught on Trump that made me want to look at things deeper. It offends my natural sense of justice when someone gets kicked, then kicked again and then again including his family. I have partly changed my mind about Trump as a result but not 100%. Only time will tell. In the meantime I like playing the Devil's Advocate on occasion.

No you are not, you're somebody's tool.

But most of all you're a looney.
