The Trump Presidency...

That's nothing new, when he was over earlier this year he charged 50k for the two day stay at his own Scottish Golf resort. Trump has been at nearly 40 rallies this year, they still chant lock her up but no one ever asks what for. Between all the rallies and golf one would wonder who is actually running the country.
Putin.

Live at the Capitol: I see President George Herbert Walker Bush is lying in State whereas President Donald J Dump is just lying.

Interesting but it doesn't really say whether he can or cannot pardon state convictions. It does mention 'federal' a lot though.
He cannot pardon anyone that has Committed a State Crime.

This doesn't explain it but it does explain the difference between Fed & State Law. (It's very confusing).

There are two basic levels in the U.S legal system: federal law and state law. A federal law applies to the nation as a whole and to all 50 states whereas state laws are only in effect within that particular state.
If a state law gives people more rights than a federal law, the state law is legally supposed to prevail. This means state law will always supersede federal law when the person in question stands to gain more from the state law, right?
Wrong. The law that applies to situations where state and federal laws disagree is called the supremacy clause, which is part of article VI of the Constitution. The supremacy clause contains what’s known as the doctrine of pre-emption, which says that the federal government wins in the case of conflicting legislation. Basically, if a federal and state law contradict, then when you’re in the state you can follow the state law, but the feds can decide to stop you. When there is a conflict between a state law and federal law, it is the federal law that prevails.

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace ‘struck’ by how quickly the mood spoiled at George HW Bush’s funeral.

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace couldn’t help but notice the chill that accompanied President Donald Trump as he took a seat among the surviving commanders in chief at George H.W. Bush’s funeral.

The president and first lady Melania Trump sat down next to Barack and Michelle Obama, who had just been chatting and smiling with Bill and Hillary Clinton, but conversation ceased when the Trumps arrived.

“I have to say I was struck when President Trump and Melania Trump came to the front row that it was as if a chill had descended on that front row,” Wallace said. “You had seen a lot of chatty talk between the Clintons and the Obamas, the Carters. But when Donald Trump sat down, the greeting that he was given by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama was about as cool as it could have been.”

“It seemed like they exchanged hello, good morning,” he added. “That was it, and at that point they all stopped talking to each other.”

Wallace said the interactions showed some hard feelings toward Trump by his predecessors, which he said was highly unusual.

“There are some ill feelings among some of the people in the front row,” he said, “and I have to say that where you usually have a president’s club, and even people that ran against and maybe one beat the other, that doesn’t seem to have been extended to President Trump when you see them sitting in that front row.”

Unusual.... Unusual ??

Trump has been so nice to the Obama's and Clintons I cannot for a moment think why that happened !!

‘Working hard, thank you’: President Mr 40% fumes over low popularity, inflates his rating to 75%.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump says the polls have it all wrong, so on Thursday he calculated his own popularity rating: 75 percent. The Republican began reflecting on his approval numbers with an overnight tweet celebrating a new poll that gave him 50 percent.

“Working hard, thank you!” he wrote on a tweet featuring a huge “50%” superimposed over a picture of Trump clapping at a campaign rally.

The only problem is that the pollsters coming up with that number, Rasmussen, are serious outliers.
All other polling companies, like Gallup, give Trump considerably lower ratings, with an average of just 43 percent, according to RealClearPolitics.com. The other problem is that 50 percent — which creeps up from Rasmussen’s previous 49 percent — doesn’t exactly set the world on fire either.

So early Thursday, Trump tweeted again, this time stating that his bad numbers are caused by the growing probe into alleged improper, or even criminal, links between the president and Russia.

“Without the phony Russia Witch Hunt… my approval rating would be at 75% rather than the 50% just reported by Rasmussen,” he wrote. “It’s called Presidential Harassment!”

Seventy-five percent would make Trump easily one of the most popular leaders on the planet.
He’d even streak ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose long soaring ratings have taken a hit recently, despite being able to control most of his country’s media.

Nonpartisan Gallup on Sunday reported Trump’s approval rating at 40 percent, up 2 percentage points from a week earlier.

HuffPost’s approval rating tracker shows Trump at 43 percent this week.
Gallup’s highest presidential approval rating ― 92 percent ― occurred during President George W. Bush’s first term in office, roughly two weeks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Bush also saw one of Gallup’s lowest approval ratings, at 25 percent toward the end of his second term. Trump hasn’t managed to surpass a 45 percent approval rating since assuming office in January 2017, according to Gallup.

Now there’s a job that has Novichok and/or fatal RTA written all over it.

Worried ? Nah not Trump, his mind must be at rest this morning waiting for another FBI Report.

Trump publicly loses it one night before Mueller set to reveal developments in multiple cases.

Special counsel Robert Mueller is expected to file documents on Friday in the cases against Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and longtime “fixer” Michael Cohen.

Trump quoted conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi, lashed out at special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, doubted the FBI followed the law, charged the media as the enemy of the people and fear-mongered about refugees.

Robert Mueller and Leakin’ Lyin’ James Comey are Best Friends, just one of many Mueller Conflicts of Interest. And bye the way, wasn’t the woman in charge of prosecuting Jerome Corsi (who I do not know) in charge of “legal” at the corrupt Clinton Foundation? A total Witch Hunt...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In fact, Mueller and Comey are not “best friends” and Trump actively promoted Corsi’s conspiratorial writings about former President Barack Obama for years back when he was obsessed with finding the former president’s birth certificate.

The president then followed this up with a tweet accusing Mueller and prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, one of the top attorneys at the special counsel’s office, of being “horrible and vicious.”

“Will Robert Mueller’s big time conflicts of interest be listed at the top of his Republicans only Report,” Trump asked rhetorically. “Will Andrew Weissman’s (sic) horrible and vicious prosecutorial past be listed in the Report. He wrongly destroyed people’s lives, took down great companies.”

Among the “great companies” that Weissmann has taken down in his career include Arthur Andersen, the accounting firm that oversaw the finances of infamously crooked energy trading company Enron.

Oh NO ! The man is completely unhinged:

Trump’s lengthy Friday morning Twitter meltdown is still going — and now he’s attacking his own deputy attorney general.

After launching angry broadsides at special counsel Robert Mueller, prosecutor Andrew Weissmann and former FBI Director James Comey, Trump then turned his attention to deputy AG Rod Rosenstein.

Will the scathing document written about Lyin’ James Comey, by the man in charge of the case, Rod Rosenstein (who also signed the FISA Warrant), be a big part of the Report?” Trump asked rhetorically Isn’t Rod therefore totally conflicted?

The self-proclaimed branding genius has re-branded upgrades to the existing border fence as the start of the "Great Wall" he promised Mexico would pay for. By S.V. Date, HuffPost US

Unable to get a single dollar to build the “great wall” he promised on the campaign trail, President Donald Trump has settled on a new strategy: repairing and upgrading the existing fence and calling that his “wall.”

Trump has claimed repeatedly over the past nine months that he has already started construction. “And we have a lot of it built and it’s going up,” he said at a rally in Mississippi late last month after attendees began a favorite chant: “Build that wall!”

In reality, not a single mile of new barrier has yet been built along the Mexican border. There were 654 miles of physical barrier on the day Trump was inaugurated president, and there are 654 miles today. Money for 33 miles of new fencing was included in the spending bill Trump signed this spring, but those projects have not started yet.

The Department of Homeland Security, which under Trump started using the word “wall” on its website for the barrier it had for more than a decade described as a fence, disputed that it had not constructed any new barrier along the Mexican border.

“We are committed to building a wall and building it quickly. We are not replacing a short, outdated and ineffective wall with a similar wall,” said department spokeswoman Katie Waldman. “Instead, under this president we are building a wall that is 30-feet high.”

That barrier, consisting of steel poles spaced a short distance apart, had been called a “bollard fence” under previous presidents, but is now called “a bollard wall” under Trump.

In any case, with the House about to switch to Democratic control, Trump’s strategy of taking credit for a non-accomplishment may be the only option available to him for the foreseeable future.

“I don’t think Trump will get what he wants,” said Stan Collender, a longtime former budget committee staffer on Capitol Hill. “I don’t think he will ever get money for his wall.”
