Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I haven't seen the current version but this one is quite a time piece from the NY City slang to a great ensemble cast of actors.

    Best line (for Arrse members): Walter Mathau-in real Brooklyn slang--talking about one of the hijackers;

    '...he has a heavy English accent, he could be a fruitcake'.
  2. This is an awesome film, atmospheric impeccably acted superbly cast and namechecked (or ripped off depends which side of the coin you flip) by many. Not sure of the remake, have been disappointed too much of late to want to see another favourite trashed.
  3. Great heist movie. Chucks in a fair bit of satire of NYC in the early 70s.

    The remake will likely be shite, Travolta doesn't come up to Robert Shaw's ankles.
