The Sparrows

#1
I was at RAF Feltwell yesterday for the Septic's 4th July celebrations. The highlight of the day were the BBMF Hurri and Lanc, 'the Sally B' and the Sparrows. There was also a high-speed fly-by by one of Marham's Tornados but that's all it was, a fly-by.

Anyway, the reason for this thread: Did one of the Hawks go U/S? I noticed one aircraft having problems staying in formation and the final bomb burst was only seven aircraft.

By the way, it seems that Ospreys will be deployed at Mildenhall - probably next year.

7 Aircraft suggests more than one
Normally 9 in a display

Yeah, but eight would have been unbalanced.

Probably the result of attrition, given that the Singletons have a nasty habit of bumping into each other.

just a thought, but I suspect the crowd would have noticed the large bang and fireball?? ;)

I loved all the series, so I bought the box-set. Makes me wish I was an Italian criminal. I yearn for more.
