You can already get Solar charging rucksacks and laptop bags from Maplins

i got a solar charger for my ipod in afghanistan, it made me very popular !

i m sure once the design is squaddie proofed it would be huge and unusable!

good idea though, there was something on the mod website and reducing the need for petrol and desiel generators for FOBs and PBs

I thought it was a good idea for the small scale individual stuff, but not really suitable on a larger scale even as part of a network of sources. A large solar panel is to vulnerable to IDF/snipers and far too costly to keep replacing every time the '5-rupee jezzail' takes it out.
