The Snowflake Generation

Why I found really shit about that story was that they were going to trash the trade union offices and someone from the Green party grassed them up.

And that Roger Hallam has left XR, so with even the XLW loony fringe leaving them for being too extreme where does XR go now?

I was hoping to the trade union offices.
It would have been fun to watch Labour justify that.

While I don't deny what you're asserting, I don't believe the distrust of authority and government was anything like the levels exhibited in 2020, particularly in response to COVID-19. Selfishness and entitlement are as much human nature as any other trait, but there does seem to be a lot more of it evident in today's social media-obsessed Western societies.
Look back a few years to the Great Depression and the Army being deployed to the streets of Liverpool. We have this sense that it was always better back then and people were better than they are today (with the exception of us - we are f***ing brilliant, only break the rules when they are stupid unlike the younger generation etc etc). It's a bit like being in a traffic jam and complaining about the traffic - WE ARE THE TRAFFIC!

I get the feeling that people are treated better for acting like ********* today. When the police used to give people a dig for acting the **** most of the public didnt bat an eyelid. Now the press are outraged and twitter/Facebook add to the whinges.
This site isnt exempt, they go ballistic when Chavvy McChav does something wrong, but gets very teary eyed when a hero veteran gets a slap for acting like a twat.

It would be interesting if power cuts should occur this winter: no electric, hence no social media, and looting and rioting would be farcical as no cnut would have a torch and they'd be walking into non working lamp posts.
With like, literally no one to film it, like OMG!
Except on a post it note.

Harry Markle (ne Windsor) burnishing his credentials.

'During the call, Windsor controversially equated COVID-19 to a punishment from “mother nature” for “bad behavior”:

“Somebody said to me at the beginning of the pandemic, it’s almost as though Mother Nature has sent us to our rooms for bad behavior to really take a moment and think about what we’ve done.

“It’s certainly reminded me about how interconnected we all are, not just as people but through nature. We take so much from her and we rarely give a lot back,” the spouse of Meghan Markle added.

'Bizarrely, Windsor also urged people to act as “raindrops” in order to “relieve the parched ground,” though it wasn’t entirely clear what he meant.'

You do realise in your quest to jump on the anti harry Bandwagon you are linking a story from a rag with such exclusives as these

If you can characterize one post as a 'quest', your levels of energy and ambition must be lower than a QM's storeman. Oh wait, ...

E2A: ex-QM's storeman.

Good job he had 12 PR staffers to help him out with that. If there were only 10 he might have said something really stupid

What did he say that you disagree with? Failures to maintain a level of hygiene in Chinese wet markets and unsafe practices in laboratories with lack of biosecurity allowed this pathogen into the human population.

Then a cover up by the Communist authorities allowed it to spread throughout China and then internationally.

Raindrops is a reference to nourishing those who we interact with the water of kindness and the oxygen of truth. Harry is not being a snowflake, he is being a Westerner.

Well those were obviously patriarchal oppressive levels of hygiene and biosecurity practices that went agains the traditional ethnic hygiene and biosecurity levels....

Wrong thread?

These hygiene practices have been "how they do it" for countless generations, all across the world. "Western" countries developed new and better hygiene practices to counter medical issues over time, and in return our bodies lost a degree of immunity to some of those issues because we were not exposed to them.

As for the raindrops reference, they may talk like that in certain circles but not where I work.

Right: that's it! Dynamite the Colosseum, bulldoze the Forum and rebury Pompeii. The Roman Empire and all its associated artworks, antiquities and ruins need to be erased from history!

'According to a press release from Pompeii Sites, the colourful Thermopolium of Regio V was one of the snack bars at Pompeii, and it has finally been revealed in its entirety by archaeologists.

'After years of work, they discovered paintings, food residue, animal bones, skeletons of victims of the volcanic eruption and, surprisingly, some homophobic graffiti.

'On the last side of the snack bar’s counter to be excavated, above a painting of a dog, an ancient vandal has carved the words: “NICIA CINAEDE CACATOR.”

'Nicias was likely to have been a freedman from Greece and the owner of the bar, while “cinaede cacator” translates as “catamite s**tter”.

'The word “catamite” does not have a modern-day equivalent, but referred to a teenage boy who was the sexual partner of a young man. The context around these relationships is debated by historians, with some arguing the practice was equal to paedophilia, and others saying that the teenage boys were the same age that women would have been when they were married.

'When directed at an older man, the word “catamite” was used as an insult.'
