Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Is that 100% CGI? The top view of the Spits resembles a well-known film clip of part of the D-Day air cover.
  2. I'd seen it before but I'd watch it again and again and again.

CGI of that quality is amazing, if only there were are mozzie or two still flying in the U.K.
  3. Bliddy brilliant.Nothing like the sound of a Merlin.
  4. Yeah, makes you wish there were some flying Mosquitos left. Barton Airshow in about 96 saw the last one crash
  5. Err, no. Thats a real French C-135FR. 8O
  6. :omg: woah!
  7. I work at Heathrow and was there when the Mosquito did a fly-in over 12/13 years ago.
She came in, on approach, on 27L, and about half way down, the pilot pushed the throttles forward, pulled up to a left wing-over and came round and landed.
What a sight and What a sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Never to be forgotten.
  8. Just as beautiful on the tarmac, had her stop over at Wildenrath and got to get a good look at her while doing the turn around. All of the electrical kit was identical to that on our squadron aircraft except the ground power receptacle
  9. For that merlin sound..

Or for just how good a Spit is.

  10. Here's the rest of the CGI vids:

    Tochy's Stuff

After the Merlins clip, I'd have to say that my favourite clip of his would be the "legacy" clip. That, or the Corsair.
  11. Yes it's 100% CGI .
