The police farce.

Phew that is a relief.

For those who might not know what a "firearm" looks like these days:

What has the owner been charged with - highway robbery?

Still waiting for the police to contact either the Daughter-in-law or the Sister-in-law, despite regular updates being arranged.
It'll be two months tomorrow.
At which point both are writing to the Chief Constable & the PCC to ask, basically, what the fcuk their Police "service" are playing at.

Damn right this family have lost confidence in & respect for the Police.
As happened in my case, if he's been invited in for a formal interview and he doesn't show, they make another date until they decide that enough is enough and issue an arrest warrant. He only has to be stopped for any minor offence, they run his name and the warrant will show and he'll be dragged in kicking and screaming. With the statements that your SiL and DiL will have given, he'll be asked to explain his actions before they arrest him for the offence.

Or more likely, asked if he is comfortable, and can they get him some water, food, blankets, or a nice glass of Chardonnay perhaps?

If they invite him for a formal interview and he fails to show, why do they have to wait until he commits another offence, no matter how minor, before bringing him in? Why not bring him in the first time he fails to show?

They have really lost the plot.

Or alternatively, the changes to the Bail Act brough in by PM May have had unintended consequences?

They don’t have to wait for him to commit another offence before arresting him, once he can be arrested for the offence, the usual enquiries are done at his home address, families address etc until he is arrested.
If these enquiries fail then if he is stopped and PNC’d it will show he is wanted and he’ll be arrested .

I do hope he had time to enjoy those very, very expensive Jaffa Cakes when he decided to give himself some “staff discount”.

What makes you think they are not capable of it?

The fact is that escalating a fight in a seated stand is a really, really stupid thing to do. If they had gone back in there and started a massive scrap, what do you believe that would have achieved?
A win or at worst a draw .
