Not that I'm amongst either of the above categories, but did anyone hear the programme with Phil Jupitus on Radio Four about veterans of Trumptonshire ?

As usual when the kak hit the fan the Army were called in to deal with problems that the civvy authorities couldn't or wouldn't handle - in one case controlling some rampaging bees.

Gordon Murray admitted that once again the Trumpton fireshirkers let everyone get burnt and the only survivor was one solitary squaddie.
(An OR, not Capt Snort from the fort.)

"Here is a Box, a Musical Box" was aired at 1130, but you can hear the broadcast again by going to this page, scrolling down to the title and clicking on the loudspeaker icon.
It is required listening at RMAS.
