After insulting the SNP dearest Lady Nugee has now apologised, so that's alright then:

But it's OK to hate the Tories?
Only if you're a dyed in the wool, Northern, red labour supporter or an Islington champagne socialist. The rest are just Blairites and not worthy of being called labour supporters brother!!

She is a right half wit. Although her sentiments about the SNP are what the silent majority think! Weemin for ya :D

Point of Order.
I’m open to correction, but I understand Lt Col (Walt) Lady Nugee (née Thornberry) has not been blessed by the Unions and is, therefore, no longer relevant to this thread. :)

Not quite true. She could, in theory, gain the support of 33 (I think) Constituency Labour Party groups, which would allow her to get on the final ballot. That's only five percent of them, so not impossible.

Edited because I monged the percentages.

I understand that she was helped through this far by MPs who would never support her further but who wanted to make more of a game of it in the earlier stages.

As I said, open to correction. Thanks ( :)for nothing).

On the CLPs that have declared so far, she has 6 out of 148. That's around 4%, which is short of the mark.

That worked out well for them last time.

Apparently, the Sunday Times have obtained Jeremy Corbyn plan for 2020, or so he thought.

A 'Corbyn legacy' WTF? They're going to keep alive a legacy of poor-leadership, ambiguous policy making, wishy-washy decision making (when he actually did any) and electoral disaster. Yeah, that's something worth aspiring too

Do they really think that after he clutched defeat from the jaws of victory, he can then go on a UK and Global tour espousing his brand of complete and utter uselessness?

Delusional doesn't even get close to this farce

The fat leg image doesn't help.
Mrs Bucket is clinging on like a woman possessed because she know's whoever wins will project her back to the half-empty backbenches where she really belongs

With the White van man with a flag comments, and now the SNP 'Hate' she is really showing her true toxic sneery nasty self.

At least through his lack of leadership and avoidance of decision making he helped make Brexit a reality, that is his true legacy

The dearest and most fragrant Emily may find herself making yet another apology after eating humble pie last week having slagged off the YesNP. This comes from a woman in a party which has never had a female leader and only 2 deputy leaders, broke my irony meter:

Emily Thornberry let rip on the US President who she labelled a "sexual predator" in a passionate speech at the Labour leadership hustings.
Shadow foreign secretary called for more women in leadership positions around the world to be able to stand up to Donald Trump and other "big men".
She called for "no backsliding" on women's rights at home and abroad as she answered a question on Trump's attempts to undermine the right to abortion in the US.
She stormed: "When it comes to making sure women's rights are appreciated across the world I fear with the growth of big men and people like Donald Trump who think that it's ok to sexually assault women and still be president of the United States, we need to have more women leaders on the international stage who say 'you are a sexual predator, we say 'no' to you, this is not the way to behave". Vigorously pointing her finger she shouted: "The women of the world say no, we say 'no, we will not be humiliated like this. We are powerful and we fight back."

As far as I can find out The Donald has been accused of all sorts of sexual impropriety but never found guilty:

Thornberry's still struggling to get enough nominations to make it to the final ballot. She has now 9 out of 195, or 4.6% so far, and needs 5% (or 33 of the 650 total).

She'll have to hope somebody boots her over the line.

Good thing she never met this character then:

Big man (but not in the way she meant) and also an alleged predator.

Here's hoping there are some witnesses to His Alleged Groping Majesty.
