.... courtesy of The Guardian .The contenders will have to pass a second hurdle of gaining nominations from at least 33 constituency Labour parties or three affiliates, of which two must be trade unions, representing at least 5% of affiliate membership.
It's all very sad, Labour have lost the best leader they never had:The final 5 are through, what a dearth of talent:
The ballots have closed and we now know the full list of Labour Leadership contenders through to the next round, namely: Keir Starmer - 89 Rebecca Long-Baiorder-order.com
I'm still voting for the Northern, eeeoooppp eckythump, I worked down't pits until Thatcher closed them all tha' knows Becky and Grangela.
I wonder what labour would be like today ,had He lived? I think labour is finished. The place needs a proper grown up centrist party,if the country is to have a functioning democracy. The current lot can piss off to their fantasy 30s type soviets, and play politics. That whirring noise you can hear is John Smith spinning in his grave.
He just peaked at 14,000rpm.
Well I think the nominations are too white.
Please define old school LabourI voted that I think Starmer will be three next leader, I hope I’m wrong.
He is very left wing yet can come across a centralist old fashioned Labour sought of chap and this combination is dangerous as he could easily win back labour voters and win an election.
Personally I would like to see that thick Shadow Business secretary Long-Bailey win, a continuation of Corbyn style bolloX which will ensure complete melt down of the party.
