    It is with some saddness I have to report the death of one of the Tower of London's Ravens. Odin to be precise, choked on a pidgeon's foot, which he had eaten whole.

    The fact there are only 6 ravens standing between Britain and chaos, I think the ravens must know something we don't.

  3. The minimum number of Ravens required, as degreed by Charles II, is six. The Tower normally has at least one "spare". Prior to Odin's demise I think there were 8.

    They will be replacing the deceased from a bird sanctaury in Wales, so informed by Yeoman friend!
