The 'Madcow 5x5' Training Routine

Can anyone with experience comment on this training program or advise a better program for strength and mass gains?

It doesn't really matter, so long as you find it heavy... all the lifters say that you should find your own way.

I lift similar, grab a weight I can do 6 with and do 30. It goes kind of 6-4-2/3... and reps of one. But I made some good gains last month.
5x5 sounds OK, but don't slack on the weight.
