The Local Elections

It's a strange old world.

The Tories take six councils, they are up by 194 councillors but confusingly they got 5% less of the total vote.

The Lib Dems lost 20 seats and two of their councils but gained another and got an increase of 3% of the vote.

So what happened in your neck of the woods?

In Craven we lost two of the Lib Dems seats but the BNP didn't increase their vote in the area. We had a few spoiled papers (less than a hundred) and increased our vote in some seats.
Hi there Sven, long time no dribble.
Seen the result for Cornwall. NOC but they are really astounding:

Conservative 50 (34%)

Liberal Democrat 38 (28%)

Independent 32 (23%)

Mebyon Kernow 3 (4%)
