The Life Guards

  1. At the battle of Zandvoorde 1914.Where the regiment lost a huge amount of men.Including a Colonel.Not one warrent officer was killed.Anyone know why?
  2. Warrant Officers walk with God.

    Actually it's because they were all in the rear counting the stores and checking duty rosters.
  3. Sat in the Mess having tea and toast?
  4. LooB? Left out of battle, along with the 2ic, a proportion of officers and sncos?
  5. Because they didn't exist until about 1915?
  6. Wasn't that only policy from 1916 (i.e. after Loos)?
