'Downtown' Jerusalem has a central street (B. Yehuda), with eateries and shops and the Old City has been regenerated. There are other areas to spend your leisure time but I have not been there in sometime.

The place is always busy with tourists who want to buy trinkets or have coffee, etc. The other roads looks different from the early '40s, for a start there is all the congestion!! Will have to visit Jerusalem next time with some old black & whites to make some proper comparisons.
