The good news thread

That's Stan Maskell, my late father in law, National Service airman and general aerophile. I must have included it in a batch I delivered. I wondered where it had gone, but on reflection, I'd read it and decided to let others read it.

Enjoy.
That solves a point of dispute in our household. Thank you.

Corbyn has gone - does that qualify for the good news thread?
The multi millionaire Starmer is going to have fun with Momentum members who hate the rich!

No because we don't really want that lot choosing a decent leader who might cause problems for the Conservatives.

The role of the opposition is not to offer an automatic and Pavlovian response, but to scrutinise and offer constructive criticism.

The election of Starmer is likely to be welcomed by pro Labour people as he is a more credible leader. Anti Labour people will welcome a leader with less appeal to the niave and Momentum types.

It is of national interest that the party leaders are intelligent and analytical.

And the good news I just received at 22.30hrs is that Kabul is likely to go into lockdown within 48 hours. This is going to be very interesting!
I managed to escape just in time. Made it back to the UK the day before all the flights were shit canned. That’s my good news. Good luck.

Recumbant in bed, cat fed, I have rum and am next to Her Ladyship. What could go wrong?...

He's got to purge his front bench of intellectual molluscs before he can start any of that. Then let Momentum know they're not welcome any more.

Tough challenge. And unlike Kinnock he won't be able to 'retire to the EU' afterwards, but will have only his existing 75 millions to fall back on.

At least Abbott jumped before she was pushed. Last we will ever see of her.

I went for a walk yesterday. As I live out in the sticks I can do so perfectly safely with little chance of encountering another human being. Although quite late in the day I chose a hill which gave me a spectacular view of the local area. The sun was out and it was good.

Towards the top of another hill I encounter some antenna - including a parabolic dish that was part of some sort of microwave link. Closer inspection revealed it to be the property of a company that does wireless internet. Good stuff - but clearly not as good as if I had got a job with them. Link budgets, link planning, surveys......

I do hope not, she is a wealth of comedy, I do hope she chairs HIGNFY, Hislop and Merton will tear her a new one, now that I would pay good money to see.
Doubt it. They would pander to her ego.

I do not think they will, they are no fans of the delectable Dianna, and certainly not in any way sycophants, they will be courteous, but scathing. They will enjoy making her feel stupid, inept, inadequate, and somewhat small, No more or less what she deserves. Topics will inevitably be, Corbyn, her wayward son, her maths prowess, and the rabid and massive racist chip on her shoulder.

Better presenters than DA have been torn apart on the altar of HIGNFY.

I have to disagree. Had she been a Conservative thick hypocrite, that would indeed be the case, but a Socialist? Naaahh!
