The good news thread

Why is it, whenever you refer to pangolins I hear,

Reed and pipe organ
Glockenspiel
Bass guitar
Double-speed guitar
Two slightly distorted guitars
Pangolin
Spanish guitar and introducing acoustic guitar
Plus, tubular bells

in the loquacious tones of Vivian Stanshall, who btw used the exact same voice (with a German accent) on Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters?
You bastard!

That was on my ‘get to sleep’ playlist for the flight home last night.

Now I won’t ever be able to listen to it again without hearing ‘pangolin’ :)

And the good news is that I’m home, Jack!
And the nagging will begin within 24 hours. I can always claim crap internet and I have 5 litres of homebrew grapefruit wine and 20 litres of homebrew red wine and staff all working from home. Now for porntube

Good news pornhub pro accounts are free for now during the pandemic

What's that....the sound of one hand clapping

I thought it was a free month of Pornhub Premium? A "friend" just went on there and it says a free week....
Tell your friend that you have to visit this landing page to get the freebie

Should be a landing strip really, considering the content...

there are plenty more. A friend of mine told me that there are websites about wimmin and octopuses Or is it women and octopi. Answers on a postcard addressed to yourselves.

Xhamster is worth a try too, or so a friend tells me

Found a rather quirky tv channel - Now 70s. Currently showing records that made number 2. Mungo Jerry, Police, Blondie,
Squeeze, Pistols, Olivia Newton John, M, ABBA, a real mix of memory music.

At 10 there is a programme of quirky songs, Benny Hill etc.

I would pay TV licence for this channel. Sod TV news!

I have had no junk emails for 3 days, I'm going to write to the pope to have him declare it a
frecking miracle
Hers and my email accounts are linked but they only land on this laptop. Not that it matters as she never asks to look at them. The number of junk emails she gets from firms after she's bought something from them is unbelievable - and I DON'T tell her they've landed either, it's less painful on the bank account if she doesn't know about firm X's latest offer. It's certainly been noticeable that the number of these things has dropped off massively this last couple of weeks.

Substituted by emails telling her how much they care about her and coronavirus.

We've been watching it for a while - I say 'we' meaning 'her'..... it's on at the mo, she's quite happily doing stuff with the audio going to the bluetooth headphones I bought her when it became clear it wasn't just a phase she was going through, meanwhile, i've got internet radio with proper stuff on it broadcasting to every speaker in the house...

On the theme of junk mail I got an email from Millets this morning. I have a favourite fleece I've had for so long I can't remember when I bought it that is getting a bit threadbare. Every time I've looked for a replacement everyone seems to put zips on fleeces these days.

Anyway, between the Millets sale and discount code I managed to get two similar fleeces and a new pair of Bridgedale socks for just over 20 quid.

The fact I promptly went and spent the 15 quid I saved on books about the immune system is neither here nor there.
