View from the kitchen window this morning.

You fuckers aren’t meant to be in the garden.

Must have a fence down somewhere.

Daffodils? It’s still the middle of winter up here. It’s been raining non stop for about 2 months.

More dairy goat kids arriving by the day. I think we’re up to about 12 now. Meat goats aren’t due for a few more weeks.

Kent's sunny thanks. Where do you flog the eaters if at all?
At our pubs and hotel. Not much left for general sale to be honest although we do sometimes supply beef to bigger outlets.

Long way to go for a bit of goat mind. How do you serve it?

Depends on the cut and type of goat.

Our Boer meat goats are delicious and to good to whack in stews and curries. The meat is like fillet steak with a slightly lamby taste.

The chefs do them as per lamb really. Sometimes they do Middle Eastern inspired dishes.

The dairy goats go in stews and curries.

Do the ANC supply the Boers?

More goat kids last night. They’re coming thick and fast now.

Also been round and fixed all the broken fences from yesterday.

And had to change a pump on the boiler because whatever storm we’re on this week caused rainwater to leak down the flue, drip onto the pump and blow it up.

The Cumbrian word for busy is “thrang”.

That’s how I feel right now.
