I asked, I didnt demand.:-o
Fairy nuff, you didn't "demand". So what you're actually saying is: "I don't like the way you spell words, and I'd like you to stop". Is that a little more precise? There still remains the question as to what right you believe you have to dictate how I spell words because you, personally, don't approve. OK, you don't "like" it, but why should that interest me? And, again, what business is it of yours how I spell words?

I mean, you don't go up to folks on the street and tell them you don't like the trousers/socks/boots they're wearing, so please change them, do you?

MsG

Now that's a new one! Would you like to explain to me just what business of yours it is how I spell words? Would you, further, like to explain why you feel you have a right to demand that I conform to your way of thinking, why I should only do things that you, personally, consider "appropriate"? How aboutif I also "assume" such a right (if it's good enough for you, it's good enough for me) and demand that you spell words the way I do? Would you go along with that? Just asking, like.:smile::smile:

MsG
Didn’t last long, did it?

Elon Musk is most like on the borderline of some sort of mental condition, however his parents were both highly specialised in their own areas
he has some very good and very clear ideas, but a great deal of the time he is challenging conventional wisdom and technology, and many times has proved the doubters wrong
what he needs is a minder or adviser who is not afraid to tell him to STFU but he is probably surrounded by fawning toadies
I would kick backs are something he finds difficult to handle
recently he gave a talk on AI and said it is likely to be the biggest danger to civilisation
he has also had a few cameo roles in major films the git

Yup, a real visionary, as I've been tracking on the following thread

https://www.arrse.co.uk/community/threads/elon-musk-the-colonisation-of-mars.260063/

He's made a prize bellend of himself, yet he's been proving to be a real disrupter in astronautics and automotive through spacex and Tesla. Both companies might well be surpassed in the next few years, see Blue Origin, Jeff 'Amazon' Bezos for instance, yet he got the ball rolling. Credit where it's due

I don't think your argument stands up to scrutiny.

He hasn't dictated anything, he merely asked. Politely. Thus the notion of any 'right' to dictate doesn't apply.

Also, your analogy is a bit off. When any of us post on this forum, in this public domain, we invite comment. I don't see this as analogous to going up to people in the street, who've not similarly invited comment, and asking them to change what they're wearing.

Personally, while I don't necessarily like some people's posting style, how they choose to post is entirely up to them. I also recognise that some people feel the need to comment accordingly. People are different.

Did you Know Henry Ford was a bit of a loose Cannon
he used to write articles in his company newspaper criticising the Jews, knocking them and blaming them for the worlds ills
oddly when he was brought before a court, he could find no reason or justification for his extreme views
his dealers had to buy the weekly paper, but used it for wrapping parts in and cleaning cars with as they hated his antisemitism
in court it was pointed out that he employed many Jewish people in high profile jobs
he was just a bit thick
he apologised paid damages and changed his way
but he was still a nut
his Son designed and installed new electric forges, that were faster more efficient and safer than the old ones
he had them torn down and destroyed as they were not his idea
when production of the T ended, dealers went out of business as it was so long till the A came into being ??
he was the first man to recycle cars, he realised that model Ts were lasting too long and offered buy back deal, they were then scrapped, the windows were used in his new factory
he also paid his Black workers the same as his White workers, on the basis they did the same job, and was well respected by the black community
but he was still a nut and prone to being outspoken
in many ways just like Elon

The Model T went out of production in May of 1927, and the Model A became available in December of 1927.

It's understandable that there would be such a delay as Ford as that would've been a massive re-tooling on the part of Ford to switch marques.

Didn’t last long, did it?
He has a psychological condition where he craves any type of attention. Even if it's negative.
You should study him.

from memory the delays was a great deal longer, many dealers unable to get stock simply gave up and went over to other manufactures, Wicki and stuff are not very accurate when it comes to Ford, they tended to re write history a little, I have period magazines here detailing the problems, when I get time I will dig them out and post them on the car forum, some interesting stuff written at the time

I was led to believe, at one point, Ford insisted his suppliers provided parts in crates designed by "him". The wooden crates were pre cut to be used as floors for his motors. Cannot vouch for this fact.

Not that my opinion matters but please stop saying "gubment" and the other deliberate misspelling/pronunciations that you do.
It's that sort of fuckwittedness that attracts the Arrserati to him. Well that and the fact that he wouldn't know the truth if it smacked him in the gob! Shame really because he does occasionally come out with some good points.
