The Dominic Cummings Appreciation Society.

So you are saying that people who have done nothing wrong are to be punished?

Interesting concept. Do you still have a ducking stool, perchance?

There are clubs for that kind of thing, judges and politicians pay good money for it allegedly

I thought that planning laws were equally applied to all. Seems not, if your name is Cummings the labour council will take special measures:
Ah! the innate bitterness of the Socialist.

. . . Cummings gave the miners Covid, y'know. And stole their milk.

Bastard.

It isn’t a political gesture chasing Cummings for taxes that he owes. It is very much a political gesture to let him off those taxes, especially such significant a amount.

I gave my view further up the page here #2,185

I made the point. Local Authorities are paranoid about Council tax being paid because if it was thought you could easily dodge your liability, everybody would be doing it all the time.

It is very unusual to be let off!

Errm. Right. Great.

Fuck off and have a revolution, if it all offends you so much.

Cummings probably trod on Carries toes once too often.

He won't be going far. A friend of mine was a SPAD within the inner sanctum at No.10 and got chucked out by Cummings (out of the blue he says). He reckons that Cummings will be joining the ranks of Will Walden and Paul Stephenson as informal advisers.

Just to show how how unbothered he is he carries a box out through the front door.
(For MoE there’s a back way out and another exit via the cabinet office)

Unbothered man carrying box.

Not if Boris ever wants to get his leg across Carrie again he won't.

The Council's officers will decide his liability, notify him, and he will make payment.

If they have waived some of the liability, then have a pop at the Council. Leave Cuddly Cummings alone.

Makes you wonder who is in charge there, echoing a thousand comments.

Pedestrians very rarely use the back gate as it's mainly for vehicles. There's also less chance of getting a cab and other cars can't wait there. The exit via the cabinet office (known as the Clegg flap for some reason) is a long way around carrying all his crap and he'd have to exit via the Cabinet door onto Whitehall where other snappers are positioned, in any case.

All very well but who carried his box from his desk in Whitehall so he could carry it out of the front door of No 10.

He had a desk in Whitehall as well? The last time I was in Bojo's office he had a desk right out side the door on a shared table with 5 other SPADS.

Please bigeye don’t bombard skid with too much actual factual information. He is going through a difficult time at the moment, watching his co islander Mr Convey stood frozen on the tracks ,as the rails begin to sing and a big locomotive called Dec 31 hoves into view around the corner.
Its not going to be pretty.
Best leave him to cuddle his potato.!.

And there's the real risk of getting mortared by the IRA.
A pedant writes: Only one projectile from the Mk 10 Mortar exploded within the grounds of No.10: in the garden. The other detonated on Mountbatten Green next door to the driveway.

I refer the right honourable gentleman to the answer I made in post #2167:

Mr Hewitt, corporate director of resources at Durham County Council, said:
“These changes will be implemented with effect from Oct 4, 2020, which is the date we have been instructed to apply the changes from.

“The date from which the rating list is to be amended is a matter for the Valuation Office Agency. We are instructed that they have made their assessment in line with relevant legislation and custom and practice in terms of such changes in accordance with Article 3 of the Council Tax (Chargeable Dwellings) Order 1993."

Shock horror! All perfectly legal and in line with legislation, custom and practice. Still Cummings GGgggrrrr!!!!!!

Dominic Cummings creates No10 'control centre' in Whitehall

Boris Johnson's top aide Dominic Cummings has been accused of parking his tanks on the Civil Service's lawn ever since entering No10.

But the PM's shadowy backroom fixer has now gone one step further and invaded their living room as his power grab to reshape British politics goes on.

Mr Cummings and another of Mr Johnson's top advisers Munira Mirza, are to leave No10 to set up a new 'control centre' for the PM in 70 Whitehall, the current home of the Cabinet Office.

It is a move that can be measured in the tens of metres, but one that may be seen as a larger one in terms of intent.

To all intents ant purposes it will create an 'office of the prime minister' in the middle of mandarin territory, the Times reported.
