The Bulldog

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just introduced on the Beeb at 1800 - the NEW bulldog.......thankfully, they did admit that it was based on an old vehicle........didn't mention the fact the "old" vehicle was designed about 40 years ago....

  2. 40 Years! I think it has hit the half centruy and by the look of things - with FRES being in the future, it may even try and become the first 100 year old vehicle!!!

  3. I did notice that they kept the old reg numbers!! I wonder if the docs still show the units and garrisons long disbanded that they served in.

  4. I always feel so happy working on 'new' vehicles that are older than me - are we getting any or is it infantry only?

  5. Imbecile! Bulldog is FRES! :D

  6. If it does the job, then does the age of the basic vehicle matter?

The real issue here is why has it taken so long to get the kit to where it's needed, especially as it's simply a revamped 432 "recycled" from some vehicle park?! Bumbling incompetence and lack of care of the first order, IMO.
