Looks very good
ITV are also plugging it on their breakfast show apparently.

There's a very good show on the I Player about EOD in Ireland in 1974
That's all well worth a watch.

At the end of the programme, we have been here three month, there was 7 of us and now there are three, we have three month to go. A very brave young man.

that poor lad, ****ing brave,
I'm sure it's a cretinous point to make, but most of the locations that they were working in seemed not to be worth the risk of legs or life. I remember that Met copper who was killed defusing an IRA bomb in a Wimpey Bar. They should have left the bomb to blow up the burgers rather than a copper, imho.

I know they have to ID where the devices are, but why not then drop a GBU-28 or similar on the pos and save these poor young buggers the effort of poking around on their belt buckles to get forensic intel that will only go to prove that the ****ing Iranians are supplying most of the IED kit.

I believe in certain magazines they put PLOT SPOILER up before they spoil the plot.

Did you notice the bit where the locals immediately sprang from nowhere to demand compensation for the damage to their crops caused by the Warthogs?

The ATOs had been asked by them to come in and clear the road for them.

The MoD paid £1.3m in compensation to Afghans in 2010.

Soooo. You plant an IED and call the ATOs: if the bomb gets them, Allah will be well chuffed. If they defuse it, you get dosh from the MoD to buy more IEDs with.

Madness

Time to start supplying sights on weapons that superimpose Ak-47's on the eye? ROE now firmly established & no-one riding away on their moped having "tended" the crops at midnight....

Cracking Programme. Bigger men than me. Pure Nails.
Amen to that.

The lad at the end to his daughter, "You owe me a game of dominoes." Brilliant.

Cheers

Gadge.

PS thanks for the link TBS

if you know that they are using a wall to lay down fire on a position, why not register it for indirect fire. Or to add to the spice, why not rig it for a remote demolition when rounds are incoming?
