The boys from The Black Watch have started their deployment on Op Herrick. I'd just like to wish the guy's a safe tour.

Those of us who have served will follow your actions with pride, do not think because you are many miles away that no one cares, that could not be further from the truth.

Cry not Mother I’ll be fine
I’m marching oot wi mates o’ mine
The Taliban they hold no dread
For men wi hackles o’bright red

There’s Foreign lands and desert soil
And In the heat of day we’l toil
We worked so hard to hone our skill’s
And soon I’m sure we’l hae oor fill

    Contact’s come and contact’s go
But in your heart I’m sure you’ll know
Your son has trained to do his part
And will now go and test his art

Helmund waits to test us all
And hopes that we will surely fall
We can but hope to make you proud
And rise above that ragged crowd

And when again we’re Scotland bound
They’ll remember us and the piper’s sound
And how they wet themselves anaw
When faced wi the Gallant Forty twa.

    God Keep you all safe.
