Agreed and I noticed something else. Although they raised the two screens for the "sincerity machine" he did not look at them but delivered almost the whole 15 minute speech straight to camera, and without using notes either. He is a professional politician but was talking "straight from the front of his mind" or he memorised the entire address. I'm inclined to the latter as these addresses are too important for rambling. Not bad for a 78 year old.

Yes, but none of those were socialists. All I am asking is why it's a bad idea just because. Too many americans simply discard ideas because they are considered socialist or liberal without looking at the merit of the idea.
You can't ditch everything because it fits in a category.

The reason I have no major issues with Trump is that I personally felt he had a low impact on myself and the UK - I'm not one to get emotional over his personality, I'm not particularly interested in the US' domestic issues unless they influence our own and things like BLM weren't driven by him, he was just the excuse. He didn't demand UK troops to back up any warmongering and his Foreign Policies didn't really affect us as far as I can tell, happy to be corrected, and it was actually nice to see certain actors being stood up to.

If Biden/Harris can do the same then I wish them all best - if they start interfering and dragging us into their wars - be it social or physical, then that's a different story. Hopefully I can generally ignore them as I did Trump.

People look back and still think real socialism has never been tried, but then look at Venezuela

It didn't take having a socialist government long to reduce the country to a state where the government were asking people to eat their own pets to alleviate food shortages

Real socialism can't work, unless human beings stop being human

Detroit - Used to make cars, now a third world country.
Washington - The White House and stuff.

Massive bit in the middle - 74 million trailer dwelling, assault rifle wielding rednecks.
New Orleans - Black people, flooding and jazz.
Nevada - Gambling, drugs and hookers.
California - Hollywood, gays, black and Latino gangsters.

Whatever your Politics, whatever your Nationality, watching the Trump entourage leaving Airforce One in Florida, whilst the Inauguration Ceremony takes place in Capitol Hill just about sums it up for me.
I’m absolutely no fan of Biden or his Politics, but the absence of Trump is an act of childish petulance and an insult to that great Office.
