The Biden Presidency

My how quickly they forget about the 2nd Amendment…

I wasn't thinking about the Second Amendment, there are other considerations as well.

Oh it's getting worse

Similar to Trump's reminders on how to be emphatic:

It seems to be reminder of the order of events more than anything too sinister / indicative of a toddler-like level of cognitivefunction. You will of course be aware of the leanings of Zero Hedge?

As dull-witted and clueless as most anarchists and nihilists appear to be, this is a pretty tried and tested subterfuge used by right and left wing extremists. There has been a surge in new and suspect bot accounts posting exactly this kind of stuff. Unfortunately, the dull-witted and clueless behavior also extends to those who don’t see these fifth column posts for what they are.

Okay bright spark, prove to me it is what you say it is.

Going out to small town USA to stir the pot is a rather unwise choice. The fact that is the typical behavior of the radical left is nothing new.

Well I was wondering if some folks have any idea where a lot of the food they consume comes from. Maybe they think the food fairies restock the supermarket shelves.

The militant left hasn’t quite gotten that far.
They do however think they will be protected in the areas they are not allowed in, and not treated like the domestic enemies they are viewed as.

You've got me. There's no evidence whatsoever that right wing extremist have weaponized the use of social media to spread disinformation, incite racial violence, incite political unrest and frequently use "False Flag' narratives to undermine the facts behind mass shootings or civil unrest. It is however extremely unlikely that it is only RWNJs using this tactic, assuming the left wingers are not entirely unaware of how to control and manipulate stupid people.

The day of the Buffalo shooting on May 14, when a white supremacist killed 10 people at a supermarket, one prominent QAnon influencer told his 84,000 followers on Telegram that the incident was a false flag operation. Following the shooting last week at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, in which 21 people including 19 children died, the same influencer reiterated his claims that the killing was a false flag. Another prolific, anti-Semitic QAnon conspiracist claimed that "false flag shootings abound" on the day of the Uvalde killings.

These baseless conspiracy theories circulated so widely in some online circles that fact-checkers needed to debunk the blatantly false claims.

The claims reflect broader problems with racism and intolerance toward transgender people and are an effort to blame the shooting on minority groups who already endure higher rates of online harassment and hate crimes, according to disinformation expert Jaime Longoria.

“It's a tactic that serves two purposes: It avoids real conversations about the issue (of gun violence), and it gives people who don't want to face reality a patsy, it gives them someone to blame,” said Mr. Longoria, director of research at the Disinfo Defense League, a non-profit that works to fight racist misinformation.
In the hours after the shooting, posts falsely claiming the gunman was living in the country illegally went viral, with some users adding embellishments, including that he was “on the run from Border Patrol.”

“He was an illegal alien wanted for murder from El Salvador,” read one tweet liked and retweeted hundreds of times. “This is blood on Biden’s hands and should have never happened.”

Social media users have been sharing content online that suggests those who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 were Antifa, not Trump supporters. Many have been using compilations of pictures as purported evidence, but examination of these images shows they do not support this claim. Meanwhile, the FBI has said there is “no indication at this time” that Antifa had played a role in the mob that stormed the Capitol.
There is no credible evidence to support the notion that Antifa backers dressed up as Trump supporters or that they led or spear-headed the rioting.

“We have no indication of that at this time,” said Steven D’Antuono, the FBI Washington Field Office’s assistant director in charge, in response to a question over whether there was any evidence to support allegations that perpetrators of the violence at the U.S. Capitol were “antifa infiltrators” who had disguised themselves as Trump supporters.

Examining the most upvoted chat rooms in an online blog forum popular among Trump supporters on the afternoon of January 8, Reuters found a mixture of narratives being presented among this community. Some said “Patriots”, not Antifa, stormed the buildings while others blamed alleged Antifa infiltrators.

Well here is the thing, I saw the entire conversation before it was taken down and it wasn't any kind of bot that was doing the ranting and it certainly wasn't any trump supporter doing the posting.

So in saying that you can take your implied insult and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Of course Asthma Joe™ is a little bit older than the Donald

Duh.
We do have a group of people that are determined to bring the Republic down.
Biden just happens to be the leader of them.
The thing about straw man arguments is the more powerful the person, or institution the greater the argument has for driving out the truth and with the entire media, intelligentsia and famous peoples club, behind Biden he still could only barely squeak a win and needed to rely on the many legal and other fixes to get him over the line and suggests the powerful have a diminishing level of control and Trump's message was strong enough to burn through the jammers..

I agree your Republic is on a downwards trajectory and towards becoming another European social democracy who will tug the forelock to the multi-nationalists and globalists but yet in a flash, the Supreme court can change everything. The midterms will reinforce that success and your democracy and constitution was well designed to face down tyranny, even when its sold as something good.

‘Huge integrity test’: Calls for action as Biden voicemail reveals he knew of Hunter China deals

The stunning revelation of President Biden’s 2018 voicemail about Hunter Biden’s business dealings in China raises questions about the federal probe of the first son, legal experts said Tuesday — as Republican lawmakers vowed congressional hearings into the matter.

Former Justice Department prosecutor Jim Trusty called the situation “a huge integrity test” for the FBI and for Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“Will they walk away from powerful evidence? Will they come up with a soft plea — like a tax charge — that does not remotely capture the actual wrongdoing?” he said.

“Or will they treat Hunter Biden like any other white-collar defendant in the federal system?”

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said the recording “only magnifies the concerns over the failure of Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel with broad investigative authority.”

In it, Joe Biden told his son, “I think you’re clear” after The New York Times published a story in December 2018 about Hunter Biden’s ties to Chinese energy tycoon Ye Jianming, who vanished earlier that year after being arrested amid a probe into suspected financial crimes.

I recall watching one night in the summer of 2020, a youtube vid of Biden in his prime interrogating Scott Ritter and Clarence Thomas and in both cases, it was clear back then, the man was wholly misrepresented by the media and he is not kindly or pleasant an individual and was nothing more than a panhandler and shill for the establishment back in the day and he's still on the payroll now and the establishment protects its own.

The silly thing is by avoiding investigating Hunter, they're simply drew more attention to the cover up and like any cover up, the truth always sneaks out eventually and whilst the powerful can brush off these things, the mud sticks.

When Joe Biden Voted to Let States Overturn Roe v. Wade

It was a new era in Washington in 1981, and abortion rights activists were terrified.
With an anti-abortion president, Ronald Reagan, in power and Republicans controlling the Senate for the first time in decades, social conservatives pushed for a constitutional amendment to allow individual states to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that had made abortion legal nationwide several years earlier.

The amendment — which the National Abortion Rights Action League called “the most devastating attack yet on abortion rights” — cleared a key hurdle in the Senate Judiciary Committee in March 1982. Support came not only from Republicans but from a 39-year-old, second-term Democrat: Joseph R. Biden Jr.
“I’m probably a victim, or a product, however you want to phrase it, of my background,” Mr. Biden, a Roman Catholic, said at the time. The decision, he said, was “the single most difficult vote I’ve cast as a U.S. senator.”....

....Mr. Biden entered the Senate in 1973 as a 30-year-old practicing Catholic who soon concluded that the Supreme Court went “too far” on abortion rights in the Roe case.
He told an interviewer the following year that a woman shouldn’t have the “sole right to say what should happen to her body.”

White House press corps demands end to Biden event restrictions

A group of 66 journalists sent a rare protest letter to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre Thursday asking that President Biden’s staff abandon a mysterious pre-screening process for reporters and reopen large events to all journalists.

The letter from many current White House reporters — including prominent TV correspondents, famed veteran reporters and leaders of the White House Correspondents’ Association — follows a full year of the secretive selection process for venues such as the East Room that in past administrations were “open press.”

Biden aides have refused to tell the White House Correspondents’ Association the selection criteria and individual reporters have received an array of conflicting explanations, resulting in a widespread belief that the practice is meant to shape the variety of questions presented to the president.

“The current method of allowing a limited number of reporters into these events is not only restrictive and antithetical to the concept of a free press, but it has been done without any transparent process into how reporters are selected to cover these events,” the letter says.

“The continued inability of the White House to be candid and transparent about the selection process for reporters attending his remarks undermines President Biden’s credibility when he says he is a defender of the First Amendment,” it continues.

“The incongruity of these restrictions underscores the belief by many reporters that the administration seeks to limit access to the president by anyone outside of the pool, or anyone who might ask a question the administration doesn’t want asked.”

“Let us be candid,” the letter goes on. “Our job is not to be liked, nor is it to be concerned about whether or not you like what we ask. Reporters’ ability to question the most powerful man in our government shouldn’t be discretionary.”

“The administration’s continued efforts to limit access to the president cannot be defended. Any notion that space is ‘limited’ is not supported by the fact that every other president before Biden (including Trump) allowed full access to the very same spaces without making us fill out a request form prior to admittance.”

The letter concludes, “Thank you for your attention to these ahistorical problems. We ask you to see to it that the protocols are changed back to the access norms to which we are accustomed.”

WH doesn't want Sam Donaldson asking about the emperors new clothes

Or he has changed his mind in the 40 years that have passed since.

No I don't believe he's changed his mind. He's a career trough dweller, hypocrites of the worst kind.

eta That both sides are as putrid as each other.
