The Biden Presidency

Biden keeps on being Biden.
His maths are a bit fuzzy though. We can borrow and spend 3.5 trillion bucks and it won’t cost us a thing, nor will it impact the middle class.

Sadly you can’t make this shite up.

Kind of like Trump building a wall and saying the Mexicans would pay for it.

He didn’t say it won’t affect the middle class
He said it won’t add to national debt - he’s taxing people

My Build Back Better Agenda costs zero dollars. Instead of wasting money on tax breaks, loopholes, and tax evasion for big corporations and the wealthy, we can make a once-in-a-generation investment in working America. And it adds zero dollars to the national debt.

And it is a bold faced lie to say it won’t add to the national debt, which he is being called out for. You don’t spend that kind of money without hitting the middle class to help generate revenue.

Sorta, but the wall was nothing close to the tune of 3.5 trillion. But you can bet that when the GOP gets back in the wall will come back with a vengeance.

Will they take money from the country again by trying to declare a national emergency so they can take from the defence budget?

National debt and charging people taxes are two different things

National debt is the balance left over when you spend more than you raise

Who knows, both sides resort to budgetary feckery when it suits them. But depending how the reconciliation bill plays it, it will set a precedent for the future.

How DARE they.....

President Biden has been annoyed with the American press asking questions that are not “on point” during recent setups with foreign leaders in the White House, press secretary Jen Psaki admitted Monday.

I mean good god, not sticking to the Plan,. the Vision, asking inconvenient questions? what kind of Democracy is this?

If fully enacted, Biden's $1.3 trillion annual agenda would:

  • Cost $10,189 per household[4]
  • Nearly double FY 2021's projected $1.8 trillion deficit
  • Consume 83 percent of projected individual income tax receipts for FY 2021 ($1.6 trillion)
  • Exceed the current projection of payroll taxes for FY 2021 ($1.2 trillion)[5]
  • add $13 trillion to the budget baseline over ten years, boosting CBO's projection of total spending ($54.2 trillion, excluding net interest payments) by 24 percent.

National debt is the balance left over when you spend more than you raise

This is the state of USA finances

Note the federal spending Vs the tax receipts. Do you really think the doddering old twat is not going to borrow?

Bear in mind that I was responding to Stramboat, who was saying that Biden was lieing:

Whereas Biden wasn’t ‘lieing’ about taxing people - he was saying that he was going to tax people

Only later does Steamboat reword with:

And the Dems won’t get the tax revenue they need in order to spend the money they want.
Which is of course - if you don’t raise it all with new taxes (or by cutting other spending) then it will add the national debt. That’s normal politics and making the books balance or not. It’s not a lie that you’re going to tax people when you’re actually stating that you are going to tax people

Steamboat is focused on taxing the middle classes. (Which will happen) the quote is about reversing tax breaks of the wealthy and taxing them.
In reality it will include taxing everyone, and as all government spending does all of the time will cost more than estimated and result in more taxes and more debt

As they say, rich people don't pay taxes, they pay accountants.
We'll see if Bidens plan comes to anything but like almost every tax and spend ventures all over the world. It won't work and/or have knock on effects.
I don't even think its his plan to tax the middle class (although that is what will probably happen) he's got another election to fight.

But you forget his pledge to not tax people who make less than 400K a year.
We already have sky high inflation, and Biden is going to ensure the middle class gets punched in the eye, in an attempt to emulate the welfare states of Europe. Biden’s agenda has been costly enough for the average Joe, we don’t need anymore of his parties self inflicted pain.

He is a one and done, his ability to remain in office past the midterms next year is highly iffy.
