Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Whilst watching the drivel being served up on the gym TV today (whilst lamenting leaving my MP3 on the kitchen worktop), I couldn't get into any rythym because as the noise of Girls Aloud and fcuking Chico was belting out of the speakers, I got thinking about what would be the best song to work out to. I personally think it is "Sandstorm" by Darude but am open to abuse on my choice of music!

So the question is...... what is the best track........ever..........
  2. Any hard driving ZZ Top when hitting the free weights.
  3. 'Children' by Robert Miles. Good for running to anyway.
  4. agreed, fantasia(sp?) is a good one to.

Personally anything by prodigy gets me going, more inclinded to their older stuff than thier newer stuff though.
  5. Shadows in the Rain, Sting, Dream of the Blue Turtles
  6. Yep sandstorm

    Anything by Chican, (offshore etc)

A bit of underworld as well, rez, cowgirl, born slippy

perfectly paced, progressive and a bit uplifting as well

all good for eating up the miles
  7. Children - Robernt Miles
    Born Slippy - Underworld
    In the shadows - Rasmus
    Ride on Time - Blackbox
    Galvanise - Chem Brothers

  8. Anything quite fast and aggressive. For running I like Jay Z or Emineminem because ya can just listen to the leeerics. But gym stuff or boxing training it's gotta be something dark and nasty like Mettalica, Underworld, Prodigy, or even Linkin Park. Raaaaaaaaaaaww! :headbang:
  9. Right now I have on my MP3 player:

    Basement Jaxx - Red alert
    Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler
    Darude - Sandstorm
Linkin Park - In the End
Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
    Scooter - The Logical Song
    Robert Miles - Children

There are loads of others including Foo Fighters, Guns and Roses, Metallica and Motorhead etc as i find an eclectic mix of music keeps me more entertained and I go for longer listening to varied tunes rather than one genre.
