In a grand attempt to figure out which is best, lets take some input from the good peeps out there that have tried them.

The best Desert Boots in general opinion need to be:

    a: Breathable
    b: Light
    c: Tough

Is money an option? Perhaps. Do we buy several pairs cheap, or one pair expensive?? You decide.

What would people recommend, giving a good breakdown on their Pro's and Con's, as well as price paid, for boots that would suit a tour of Iraq in Summer?

I want to get enough information to create a reliable list for peeps to refer to if they want ideas and suggestions. My long term plan is to get together a site with the Best Of range, where people can quickly see what is the most popular and efficient kit to get for various circumstances. Boots seem a good place to start. :)

    Go with the issue ones.

With summer temperatures of over 50C it is academic what you have on your feet - they are going to be sweaty and horrible no matter what you are wearing - best to ensure that you have enough clean socks and plenty of foot powder.
