The BBC: are claims of political bias justified? Part 2.

Can someone tell me why? I’ve nothing against the lady but why did Sue Barker and the others have to go?

To be fair, someone had to go. I think Sue did/does an OK job, but Dawson, but especially Tufnell have morphed from Team Captains into egotistic unfunny slapstick artists.

It's woefully dreary and definitely needs a freshen-up, and if that's a tidy pleasant-on-the-eye ex-footballer presenter, then I can live with that.

Lastly, I suppose you could ask yourself; what led to David Coleman being replaced as presenter by Barker anyway. It wasn't due to retirement, but perhaps he was to male and stale?

Unfortunately, I think he's only reinforcing the view of many of the (non-trolling) posters on this and similar threads.

I've given up on the BBC's evening news - possibly, for many years, that was my only daily appointment viewing. However, objectivity has gone out of the window. With it has gone my loyalty.
I listen to R4 1800-1830 pretend News for the laugh, ant only for the laughs.

I have a list of those I'd like replaced. Funnily enough Sue Barker featured on it...

Had they just pensioned off Sue Barker, to give the show a fresh lick of paint, then I doubt there would not have have been, such...

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."

Instead they choose to at every criticism about the BBC becoming 'overtly racist' in its ways it just doubles down, on it.

Fair. But one could say that about any amount of other programmes - not just the presenters but the programmes. How many years has Strictly been running now?

My point being that some things are standards, and if it ain't broke don't fix it. The only thing wrong with Top Gear in the BBC's eyes was Clarkson.

I've absolutely nothing against Alex Scott. I hope that she does well. However, there's a - currently - dreary inevitability to her selection. Sadly, it wasn't purely on ability. She's already getting trolled, which isn't good.

The point is that the BBC has put her in the firing line, effectively, because it is so agenda-driven.

If it's any good people will watch, otherwise they will vote with the off button.
The choice we don't have is that those voting with the off button still have to pay for it.

She loses money for having such an annoying voice.
So annoying in fact, that I am forced to mute the sound while she’s whining on.
Also a face that can sour milk at 50 paces.
Ditto, along with the other weird sounding female of Canadian descent - Lyse Doucet.

Indeed, and that is something the BBC sadly as a whole seem to be deliberately blind too.

Programmes I used to watch, but don't now, for several years and counting. All Terrestrial and Cable, thus no mahhosive TV just my PC and mahhosive moniter does the job. The multitude of content available sans any requirement for a licence is more than i could possibly consume, and still be able to write 'granamatically bad noncents' here on ARRSE.

That said the BBC (crapita) are still kind enough to continue writing to me, too offer me an free appointment ' 'wid der justice system' the thoughtful little tinkers.

I did the other year have them send round a 'crapita' agent, for tea and cake perhaps but i simple opened and then with a smile and cheery wave, shut the door. While still writing too me, they haven't been back in person, perhaps they dont like cake?

Add in Frankie Boyle's New World Order on Thursday night. I managed 5 minuted, but the wokism was too overpowering and I started felling quite nauseous, so had to turn it over

Did the BBC not have a warning before the show, offering a helpline number for, 'if you feel you have been affect by any of the programs content' then call "0800 666666" or text "softcnut"

edited for clarity

Completely the opposite now sweetcheeks.

There's no warnings for wokism, and they certainly aren't going waste good socialist propaganda money on the likes of me, who are completely off-message.

I read something he other day where Boyle was conceding that his old days of dark humour and abuse was (paraphrasing) 'comedy of the past' and has effectively turned to the woke side.

The mortgage isn't going to pay itself now, is it?
