The Arctic theatre

Various people have been credited with the statement that "Eighty percent of life is showing up". As such continued NATO exercises inside the Arctic Circle demonstrate a continued commitment to peaceful coexistence and democratic principles.

Commando Logistic Regiment drive into the Arctic wilderness | Royal Navy

As they prepare to support the Royal Marines in the high north, drivers from the dedicated logistics branch of the Green Berets have journeyed out into wilderness of Norway, testing themselves and their twin track Viking and BV 20 all-terrain vehicles.

Barnstaple-based CLR will be offering vital support to Commandos as winter warfare training hundreds of miles inside the Arctic Circle gets underway shortly. It’s an assignment they have been preparing for since the turn of the year.

"Wilderness of Norway"? Sounds like "Wilderness of Salisbury plain". Norway is rather warm and civilisated place, even its North regions.

It's Ruslan Boshirov of the Russian State Circus tour of Salisbury.
The Salisburies Season of 'The Russian poisoners' is a typical British comedy, written and directed by a person with the typical British sense of humour. With all my respect to 'Rosgoscircus' I very doubt that they can feel Brits so good. Russian sense of humour is a bit different:

Yesss... it certainly is...though bit bleak for most of us.

We tend to struggle with Chekhov’s “the Seagull.”"

Depression, unrequited love, unrealistic expectation, over dramatisation, obsession with death, jealous rage, unhealthy focus on suicide/self destruction, casual destruction of beauty, drunken destruction...just destruction. The futility of life, lack of commitment, alienation and loneliness.

A play, within a play, within a play, like some brooding Matryoshka doll, a world of drama. Influenced by existentialism, showing how every individual must find a way of filling their individual empty voids in their lives to try and live a ‘happy' life.

A slightly grim ‘comedy’ in seeing how people can rub each other the wrong way causing so many ‘hilarious’ conflicts, and end up failing one another!!!

And now...Будем здоровы!!

In fact, it is Chehovs answer (and may be even parody) on Shakespear's 'Hamlet'. Masha Shamraeva as a 'Hamlet in a skirt'. Without understanding of Russian understanding of Hamlet you can't understand "The Seagull".
