The Abandoned Soldier:to be shown Monday 21st May, BBC2, 9pm

A documentary is being screened on the subject of organisations that support all those who have fought valiantly for our country but are now forgotten. It follows the story of the making of the sculpture by James Napier of "The Abandoned Soldier" which is currently situated at Tyrwhitt House, a Combat Stress treatment centre. This programme should be of interest to many Arrsers, as today's Serviceman is tomorrow's veteran.

Also, James Napier is seeking donations to a fund to have this sculpture cast in bronze and placed somewhere meaningful in London. Further details about donating to this fund as well as a petition started to encourage debate about a possible permanent site have been organised on James's own website
