Tethered Capture using LR3

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just found that LR 3 lets you do tethered capture using a Canon. I'm sure that there are many uses for tethered capture, I just have to find them :)

Run LR 3 and then connect the camera from the A/V Digital port to a USB port on your computer. In LR 3 go to File, then Tethered Capture and follow the prompts.

Remember to switch the camera on I didn't and had a few mins of throwing teddy out the Pram.

Personally I prefer the EOS Utility for tethered with a Canon as you've got greater control over the camera (aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc), but LR certainly has its uses. It's a much better interface for client display for example.
  3. Thanks for that.
  4. Works with Nikon as well.
