Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Who has come off Telic and had a tax c*ckup?
Not sure who's to blame so I'm not sure who to approach ref: this matter ie civi employer or MOD,
Anyone on here who's encountered this problem please help?

PS this isnt a large amount but its enough for a weekend on the booze so I'd like to recoop this if possible.
  2. i have returned from herrick and my last months pay has been missed up had tax code changed at last minuet so got taxed £600 to much but guess who has to fight and do all the leg work to get it back?

i went through apc glasgow and rtmc chillwell.
  3. Speak to whoever sorts out your civvie pay in the first instance.

It's quite possible that when they took you back on at work, they (or the payroll bureau) have submitted the wrong tax code. If that's the case, the sooner they get it sorted, the better. If there's information they still need from the army, then you can then go back to your unit with the request.

On the other hand, if it turns out that your employer has done everything correctly, then go through your unit - your PSAO should be able to staff this one through your RAO/FSA.

You can get pretty decent advice from SaBRE - call one of the girls there on 0207 426 8381.
