Telescopic sights in US service.

Can anyone confirm whether the US military orders telescopic sights with:

1) Adjustments in Mils
2) Adjustments in Minutes of Angle
3) Adjustments in Metres i.e Bullet Drop Compensating types.

I have been assured by someone that the Mil-dot reticle scopes used on US sniper rifles have adjustments in minutes which seems absurd to me. Surely they would have adjustments in mils to match the reticle? Otherwise you have to multiply all your corrections by 3.59!

Source information would be particularly helpful or first hand experience at least.
