Hi All,

Team Lamassu - The Road To Basrah

The road to Basrah is the name given to HQ MND(SE) major charity effort for Op Telic 10. The event is taking the form of a group of Soldiers from UK, Austrailia and America running, cycling, rowing and cross training the distance from Herford in Germany (where HQ 1 (UK) Armd Div is based) to the COB in Basrah - a distance of 3975km.

Sponsorship is being taken and the chosen charities for this effort are BLESMA (British Limbless Ex Servicemens Association) and local childrens charities in Basrah. All money raised is being distributed 50/50 which will help BLESMA to continue its invaluable work providing quality of life to servicemen who have lost limbs and help give a better start in life to kids in the Basrah area.

If anybody can help by making a donation, however small, please click to visit the Team Lamassu Justgiving Site. Donations can also be made via personal cheque, please drop me a PM for an address and payee details.

Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Team Lamassu
2. Don't forget to get anyone who sends you a donation privately, to sign a gift aid form so that Blesma can eclaim the tax. Good luck x
