Hi,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place or just simply a bone thread, but would anyone in the know be able to give me some info about TA ATs? Please PM me if you can help...

Cheers in advance!

The RLC Trg Instruction (Vol 3) in the E battlebox gives details of all TA trades. The nearest thing to Ammo Tech for the TA is Ammunition Specialist.

There is (or was) a Specialist TA Sqn. Mostly manned by ex AT/ATO but not exclusively so. Like most Specialist TA they recruit mostly people with required skills and experience.

Have never heard of a TA AT course, but they might do some training in house.

Sqn no longer does EOD but does ammunition processing etc. Individuals and groups sometimes support Regular Army on variety of tasks, sometimes EOD if individuals have right skills.

Phone call to RLC TA at Grantham would probably be a good start point.
