Sword of honour and history search - Capt. Richard John Moyle

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My late father R J Moyle (Dicky Moyle) lent his sword of honour to a man of honour in the late eighties/early nineties. He probably forgot to pick it up! However, it is still a very important momento for his family who would love to see it or purchase it if possible.

Dicky Moyle served in the REME in the fifties and sixties - Borneo, Malaya, and the TA after leaving the service. When he left he was Capt. RJ Moyle. He was an excellent pole vaulter (we believe he held the record) and rugby player (Richmond)

His five sons would love any information about Dicky's time in the army or the sword of honour.

Dicky passed away 13 years ago today and is still much loved and missed.

    Thanks so much in advance,

    Alexander
