Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I'm sure somebody must have come across the following scenario: If someone does deploy to the same Operational theatre-having therefore already received the appropriate medal for that location, what happens? I have now done 'more than one' Tour in Iraq and wondered about this point when fellows' i was chatting to brought it up. Many thanks.
  2. So you've been to the same place more than once, what do you want a bleeding medal?!
Griz it, get on with it and suck up those extra LSSA days and if its Iraq you're talking about you will be well on your way to getting the ACSM anyway.
  3. And there was i thinking this was the place to ask questions, hoping for considered answers!

  4. An arrsey answer but about right I think. The ACSM requires something like 1080 days service in the relevant spots. Check the MOD website, there's a medal room section which lays out exactly what's what.
  5. Sorry Nursey.
I was just giving you the real deal albeit in a bit of a gobby way.
My apologies i should be more gentle with you blue jobs.
  6. don't you like sand?
