they did have to leave them to dry for quite some time to make sure they were absolutely dry.
actually using it now but like i wrote... it´s sticking up.
yeah... i guess i will need to bin it. A bit annoying as i´m always very careful with any liquids near my pc.Just buy a new one from eBay, they're rarely expensive or hard to fit.
Take it out now though, and make sure the inside of the laptop isn't swimming. See if you can buy 98% isopropyl alcohol, and swab out any sticky stuff with a cotton bud soaked in it.
There's a good chance that even if you do, the laptop will work for a couple of weeks, and then shit itself permanently.
don´t think so it´s a Lenova...then yes, you're probably knackered. you could possibly try a shedload of moist wipes. is the keyboard one where you can pop the keycaps off to get get under them at the switches?
In my opinion, your best bet would be to get yourself a cheap keyboard from some second-hand place and slave it into your laptop. That's what I did and it works just fine.Right here´s the story ...spilt beer on my keyboard about 1 hour ago, now the key board is getting sticky. what can i do chaps?
hmmm.... but some toe rag could have been watching porn using that keyboard. wait & see.. it´s not like i need an expensive pc it´s just for entertainment really. In my opinion, your best bet would be to get yourself a cheap keyboard from some second-hand place and slave it into your laptop. yeah fancy a smaller compact one.Facebook marketplace is your friend. Always cheap laptops at this time of year.
The keyboard is only an input device. it has no bearing of influence on the computer it was attached to and doesn't store any data.hmmm.... but some toe rag could have been watching porn using that keyboard. wait & see.. it´s not like i need an expensive pc it´s just for entertainment really.
If the liquid hasn't gone thru the keyboard membrane, nip down to Tesco's - when sober, & get a cheap usb wireless k/board+ mouse and plug into usb slot & use that insteadactually using it now but like i wrote... it´s sticking up.
might think about it but like i wrote i don´t need an expensive one.The keyboard is only an input device. it has no bearing of influence on the computer it was attached to and doesn't store any data.

oh..believe me i have blown a few juices over this PC...Am I the only one who saw the title of the thread and started singing 'Sticky Keyboard' to the chorus of Tina Turner's 'Steamy Windows'?
Probably.
