BS, you do realise that the Arch Demon of Conspiracy Theories, Ronangel, will be all over this?

We all know that there is no convincing the conspiracy idiots that their views are wrong. The only way they will be convinced is if they were to be sent to the moon to see for themselves that it is not made of green cheese or whetever their current theory is.

I have always thought the Russians of the time could prove or disprove the landing as they where ahead of the game with related technology. I also think if the Americans wanted to prove they had landed on the moon but couldn't actually land, maybe they could drop some hardware to say they have been there.

Wot do ye mean the moon isn't made of green cheese? How do you kniow that?

The Septics Apollo 11 left a Laser Ranging Retroreflector on the moon which IIRC is still used every day to calculate the distance.

As for proving conspiracy theories that's simply not possible - the less evidence there is the better the conspiracy!

I agree with the assertion that the Russians would have blown a fake moon landing as they had invested heavily in a similar mission. The space race was heavily political and any opportunity to destabilize the US and hit the psychie of the American people would have been taken.

I remember a few years back, The Sunday Sport had a headline,

'B29 on the Moon!' With a photo showing the crashed bomber. the following week came the headline,

'B29 removed by USA!'

It was in the paper so it must have been true, which is quite scary.
