Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. For those who knew him I have been informed that Steve passed away at 2AM this morning at home after a long battle against a cancerous tumour of the brain. Taken far too young.

    RIP brother, Certa Cito....
  2. I am very sad about this. He was a top bloke who I always enjoyed working with. My condolences to his family.

It is a bit strange that three blokes from 229 Sqn of that time have now died young; Al Keen, Sam Slade and now Wobbly Owen. I am beginning to worry a little.
  3. RIP condolences to his family
  4. RIP Wobbly, top bloke and great mate/wingman. Knew him most of his career and served with him and Al Keen at 22 Sigs, both of them served in the first Gulf War, so maybe there is a few of us who should worry, both were only late 40's.
  5. Lads, is this the same Wobbly Owen who was in 201 Sig Sqn at Hohne in the 1980s?
