State Pension Age to Increase

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. But there is no wholesale privatisation or scrapping the NHS in its current form. The NHS has been exempt from the austerity cuts, and has received inflationary uplifts to its funding every year. There is a valid argument for it receiving inflation plus increases, which it did for many years previously. This would be easier if Labour hadn't left a massive financial deficit to deal with.

  2. Wholesale maybe not. Bit by bit and by stealth yes. Once it's gone, it's gone.

The Tories aren't so stupid to get rid of the whole shebang in one car boot sale, because they know the uproar it will cause, so they give little bits to corporate welfare scroungers like McDonnell Douglas or Fujitsu, for example, and then award them massive contracts to deliver uncompetitive and rubbish service at exorbitant prices. Then tell us 'Look, we are spending more money on the NHS' and conveniently ignore that that extra money will go on corporate level salaries, BMWs, and more profits for shareholders.

    Same old story.
