Cultural Appropriation at its finest!
You say that, yet when the Mohican tribal chiefs came to London to meet the Queen in 2008(?) they all looked white anglo saxon protestants in business suits.

It was a bit bizarre. I was with HMQ's personal secretary, HMQ's 'copper' , I forget her name now, and the SecCo for a meeting before the event, when these casino owning gentlemen walked in, so I was still watching the doorway waiting for the Mohican's to enter when the meeting was called to order.
They looked nothing like in the filums in the 60s when me and my mate Andy Winter would take turns playing Hawkeye or Magua.
Cultural Appropriation? that would be the one's in Saville Row suits, rolex, and wearing ‎Salvatore Ferragamo, if you want to be pedantic :)
(I was still wearing Clarks (not the same pair, obviously) and Man at C&A)

They might have appreciated the compass in the heel and the animal track soles. ;)

I always thought the Adventure Boots should have had an NSN, for the Recce Pln.:cyclopsani:
I had a pair of the Animal Tracks when I were a lad and thought I was the mutts nuts.

So did I, and at first I thought the same.

At first.

Then it clicked that the compass in the heel didn't work (so why would you want to take your shoe off to try and use it?), and the animal tracks were practically non existent after a week on a tarmac skule playground . . . .
. . . . then I realised what a rip-off is (but back then my mum would call it a catch-penny)

Yep, the same happened to me.
