Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Bit of a random one fellas...

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a manufacturer/supplier of blank stable belt buckles? Have had a quick browse but turned up nowt.

  2. Just curious, but why would you want a blank buckle for a stable belt?
  3. Stable belts chave been manufacturered with a variety of different buckle types, as this wensite shows:

What type of buckle is it that you are after?
  4. A draft design
  5. All of the stable belts that I've seen have the motif cast as part of the buckle, i.e. not engraved or stamped. So getting a blank one would probably involve a special order at silly cost.

I'm ready to be corrected, though.

How about getting a vanilla regimental one and grinding off the motif?
  6. I like it! Mr Potatohead, presumably? Swap the buckle and see how long you can get away with it. :)

Contact Tommy Dalman at Ammo and Co in Birmingham. He will be the cheapest source of good quality. If you can't find a number then go via which they took over running two years ago
  9. I bought some stable belts off Tommy earlier this year. really good service and i got a discount for ordering a large amount.
