Sprained ankle

#1
:D Hi Could any one give some advice. My daughter during basic training sprained her ankle badley Grade3 plus broken tib. ANy ideas of how long the army will give for her to recover and what happens if she does not get fit quick enough.
Thanks#Gary

Any lower limb or load bearing limb could take around 12 weeks to heal. She will most likely be moved to a Rehabilitation Platoon of some sort so that her Tib is given time to heal. Normally she would be sent away on sick leave for atleast 2-3 weeks so the bone has time to settle down. When her Tib is healed she will return to training with a different platoon at around the same week she injured herself. However sometimes they could discharge and ask that you return in 6 months or so once she is fully recovered.
