Specialist running shop

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. A while back I read an article on ARRSE concerning the importance of getting the correct running shoes in relation to running form. I remember reading that there were some specialist shops where you jump onto a treadmill to determine your running style, and buy shoes accordingly. I've searched ARRSE for the thread but to no avail. So, I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction and provide me with the names of some specialist running shops. I live in the Midlands.

  2. I've found Sweatshop really good, but probably depends on the staff in each shop. The Edinburgh took a long time over fitting and were not just interested in punting the most expensive running shoe. Check their website for branches all over the country.
